02

How a cycle count session runs

From a plan trigger to an approved adjustment — five steps, fully tracked.
  1. 01

    Plan or quick-start

Pick a recurring plan or launch a Quick Count for ad-hoc locations

  2. 02

    Snapshot system qty

Otiox freezes the expected quantity at the moment the session opens

  3. 03

    Count on the floor

Operators count by scanning or typing, optionally blind to system qty

  4. 04

    Review variance

See system vs. counted, percent variance, and the cash value impact per line

  5. 05

    Approve or recount

Auto-approve small variances, queue the rest for a recount, post adjustments

03

Inventory accuracy without shutting the warehouse

Cycle counting replaces the once-a-year stock take with small, scheduled counts that catch shrinkage early and keep system qty trustworthy every day of the year.
  1. 01
Schedule by ABC class, location, product, lot, or barcode
  2. 02
Quick counts that take seconds, not hours
  3. 03
    Blind mode keeps counters honest
  4. 04
    Auto-approve threshold for tiny variances
  5. 05
Queue recounts when variance exceeds your limit
  6. 06
Value impact in your currency, line by line
  7. 07
Excel + CSV export with the full count line
