What Is a Bundle?
A bundle is a package that combines multiple products into a single unit with a shared price. Use it for ready-made kits ("Starter kit"), configurable offers, or seasonal combinations.
Bundle Structure
A bundle has six sections that you fill out when creating it:
- Basic information — name, description, cover image, and category
- Hero section — text and visual elements displayed on the public page
- Components — which products are included, in what quantities, and with optional price adjustments
- Configurator — steps the customer goes through to choose options (e.g. color, size, engraving)
- Pricing rules — dynamic price shaping based on selected options
- Thank-you page — what the customer sees after submitting a request
Configurator
The configurator is a series of steps you present to the customer before they fill out a request. Each step has a name and elements — most commonly variant pickers. The customer selects options, and the system calculates the final price based on pricing rules.
Example: a bundle "Laptop + bag + mouse" can have a step "Choose your bag" with three options, where each option can add a fixed amount or percentage to the base price.
Pricing Rules
Each rule activates under a specific condition and applies an action:
- Condition type: quantity, selected component, custom field value, or tiered threshold
- Action type: discount or surcharge, as a fixed amount or percentage
The system evaluates all active rules and applies them cumulatively.
Bundles and Offers
When a customer submits a request through the bundle configurator, the system automatically creates an offer with:
- A link to the bundle (bundle_id)
- The customer's saved configuration (bundle_configuration)
- Line items matching the bundle components
On the offer page, you see a Bundle Request Details tab showing all components with prices and applied rules, plus a button for manually triggering pricing rules.
Use Cases
Household kit (B2C) — A "Kitchen set" bundle contains a pot, pan, and dinnerware set. The customer goes through two steps: choosing size and material. A 15% discount activates automatically if they select all three components in the largest size. The customer sees one price; you have one line item in the order.
Configurable IT equipment (B2B) — A "Workstation" bundle contains a computer, monitor, and keyboard. The IT manager chooses processor, RAM, and screen size. Pricing rules add surcharges for each upgrade. The configurator generates an offer that goes through a budget approval workflow.
Seasonal gift pack (B2C) — A "New Year Gift Box" bundle contains three fixed products. No configurator — the price is fixed and lower than buying each item separately. Publish the bundle in November, remove it in January.
Tips for Maximum Value
- Use auto-save — the system saves your draft every 2 seconds, so you can stop and resume anytime
- Every bundle has a public URL — share it directly with clients or embed it on your website
- Components can have individual price adjustments, so the same bag can be cheaper in a "Starter" bundle than in a "Pro" bundle
- Tiered rules are ideal for volume discounts: 1–5 units = regular price, 6–20 = −10%, 21+ = −20%
