How to Create a Catalog

Last updated: 2026-03-09

Creating a Catalog

A catalog is created in under a minute — there's one small form, and that's it. Go to Catalogs in the menu and click New Catalog.

The Form

Catalog name — Enter a name that makes sense to you. It can be "Wholesale Q2 2025" or "VIP Clients — Equipment". As you type, the system automatically generates a slug below.

URL Slug — Created automatically, but you can edit it manually. The rule is simple: lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only. This is the identifier in the catalog URL.

Description — Optional. Useful if you have multiple catalogs and want to quickly see the difference between them on the list.

Status — Choose between Draft, Active, and Inactive. If you're not sure, leave it as Draft — the catalog won't be visible until you activate it.

Valid from / Valid until — If you're running a seasonal promotion, enter dates. The catalog won't appear before the first date and automatically expires after the second. Not required.

Custom URL — If you want the catalog to live on your domain (company.com/catalog), enter the full address here. Otherwise leave it empty.

Click Create Catalog — done.

What's Next

The catalog is now empty. Click Manage Products and start adding what goes in it. For each product, you can enter a catalog price that applies only within this catalog — without affecting standard prices in the system.

Customer groups and access control are configured through tabs on the catalog page.
