Playbook: give each client books you can trust
The situation
A client sends a box of documents at month end. Half the work is finding out what happened in the business; the other half is fixing what was entered wrong.
With Otiox the business itself produces the bookkeeping: every sale, purchase, build and stock movement becomes a transaction, and what is missing is flagged where it happened.
Step 1 — Read the ledger
Open Accounting → Transaction Ledger.

What you see in the demo: 219 events, $510 money in, $4,765 money out, and 108 warnings, all of them missing values. Tabs split the events by sales, purchases, production, inventory, returns, finance and tax; Missing Value lists exactly the rows that need a cost or a price before they are right.
Step 2 — Check the balance
Open Accounting → Trial Balance.

What you see: the nine accounts with postings in October 2026, debit, credit and balance for each, and the check Books are balanced. Export it as CSV for the client file.
After
- Fixing a missing value at the source (a product's cost, a supplier price) corrects the rows that depend on it in open periods.
- Close the month under Accounting → Periods once it is right; nothing can be posted into it afterwards.
What you have at the end
- Bookkeeping produced by the business, not retyped.
- Every gap flagged where it happened.
- A balanced month, closed.
